When the holidays roll around every year many people find themselves singing a traditional assortment of Christmas songs. Many of these same people believe that they perform a pretty good rendition of Silent Night or Joy to the World. If they wanted to be really certain, they could play the David Archuleta Open Mic app and compete against the famous American Idol finalist.

This app features five well-known Christmas songs that include: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, O Come All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World, The First Noel, and Silent Night. The player can select the song they want to give a try, choose their level of difficulty for a few practice sessions, and then give it their best effort. The game retains top scores and even allows the player to share their very best results with friends via the built-in email feature.

The David Archuleta Open Mic app also has some exclusive videos of the famous singer along with a nice array of singing tips. Through the app the player can visit Archuleta’s official website, and even create a custom scoreboard. There is a whimsical additional feature that converts the mobile device into a snow globe with a simple shake too.

There are some fan-based apps for the singer, such as the David Archuleta Quiz, but the David Archuleta Open Mic app is the first to provide a Christmas singing game using the star’s recordings.

The cost for the app is $3.99 and any upgrades would be entirely free of charge. This app is compatible with iPod Touch and iPhone devices.
