I’m not sure what would possess somebody to create a game like MaxInjrury—but then again, what was it about that game that made me want to play it?

The idea behind MaxInjury is that you throw a ‘crash test dummy’ down some sort of stairs, ramp, or building.  With a swipe of your finger, you send the dummy down to his demise where he will plummet across all sorts of boxes, speed bumps, and construction horses.  The more injury and pain you inflict on the dummy the higher your score.

Sadist pleasure aside, MaxInjury has several flaws with the user interface.  For example, after you complete a level, you don’t “progress” to the next one, you have to start the process of a new game all over again—needing to press ‘restart’, choose if you want to save the high score, then pick the level you want to play.  This interrupts the flow of the game and made me get quite frustrated with the game.

The game does have some nice features too; for example you can choose a photo that you want put on the dummy’s head.  This gives you the psychological satisfaction of tossing your arch enemies and annoying co-workers to the death.

Quick Take

Value:Low; The game got boring after a few tries and the user interface killed any sort of momentum

Would I Buy Again:No way!

Learning Curve:Low--just fling the dummy down

Who Is It For:People that like this sort of humour

What I Like:It has some nice features, such as saving the screen and adding a photo on the dummy

What I Don't Like:The game play is boring and the user interface is horrible

Final Statement:Max Injury is a cute idea but just a bad implmentation. Maybe version 2.0 will be better.
