This is one of those apps that are too cool to believe until you actually use it.
As the developer notes, this makes one immediately think of the movie The Minority Report– especially the scene in which Tom Cruise is manipulating pictures on a glass display. With two hands he makes them larger, smaller, he spins them around, and generally manipulates them in ways that, when the movie was created, seemed like the stuff of science fiction. Fast forward to October 25, 2008. The technology for changing the size and the orientation of images is on the same device you use to call your mom. Very very cool. Not all that practical — but very very cool nonetheless.
I’ve been testing version 2 of the application. Everything works smoothly and the application is quite stabile. I could add images, layer one on top of the other, change the size of each and rotate each independent of the others.
As "proof of concept" this application is a homerun. It sets out to do exactly tries — it shows how well a technology that Microsoft is bringing to the surface computing can work (especially when attempted to be implemented on an apple device).
As a practical application that I will actually use, however, it’s okay but not great. I do love the fact that enlarging and reducing pictures is incredibly smooth within this application and that you are able to rotate the image at the very same moment you are changing its size, but that’s really not enough to make you want to use the application. What is a neat possibility with the application, however, is the fact that it allows you to create a collage of images of different sizes shapes and orientation. But again, I’m not sure how practical that really is.
As a free application this is really cool and is something worth seeing and experiencing for yourself.
It is a nice implementation of multi-touch and as a reminder that were just at the very beginning of discovering what’s possible with it.

Have you ever watch Minority Report and wonder when you can do cool things like the multi touch manipulation ? Now you can experience both in your iPhone. Micro Surface enable you to enjoy your photos in a whole new way . Not only you are able to Pinch zoom in and out , you can rotate the images like you rotate real photos ! Not only you are able to view and enjoy your photos in many amazing ways , just like microsoft surface you are able to write on the Micro Surface in Neon Color !
---FEATURES---Pop-up Menu -Micro Surface takes advantage of the whole screen , and there is no space wasted for buttons .Simply TAP anywhere on the empty space to show the menu . The menu itself is self explaining . Wait , What if my screen is covered with photos! I cant show the menu ??! Of course you can, just TAP AND HOLD for about 1 second on any photos and the menu will pop up.
Add Photos -To add photos to the Surface click the PLUS sign on the menu .
Delete Photos -So you have too many photos on your screen and want to delete some ? of course you can ... Simply TAP AND HOLD for about 1 second on the photo that you want to delete and choose the'X'icon .
Stack Photos - (The fun Part !)What if you have added many photos onto Surface and you screen is cluttered around ? irritated ? hard to navigate around the surface ? Easy piece of cake ... Simply show the menu again and choose the STACK Icon (the one above the plus sign) , and Micro Surface will tidy things up for you :)
Multi-Touch Writing / drawing - (max 4 fingers!)Well...you finished browsing photos and now you want to play Tic-Tac-Toe with your friend ? Don't quit the App! From the menu choose the PEN icon , simply move your hand around the Surface to draw on the Surface! The amazing part (hardly found in any other apps) is we make use of multi touch and with that we are able to put four different fingers on the surface at the same time! You can choose the colors as well !
To ERASE the drawings , simply SHAKE your iPhone .. :)
Save to Photo Library -Have a really nice pictures on the Surface you want to share with your friends? simply choose the camera button on the menu , and the picture will go to your photo library :)
Hidden feature -Really , we just need every inch of iPhone screen that we have to hide all the buttons away! So here are some hidden feature you can use :-Double Tap to zoom on and out of Photos-Tap and Hold and move any picture around the Surface-Pinch to zoom in and out of any photos-Place two fingers on any photo and turn them clockwise or anti-clockwise to rotate them !
So now You can experience Micro Version of Microsoft Surface on Your iPhone !
