Toobz is yet another puzzle type offering.  The game begins on a random spot on the board.  A series of pipe pieces is then presented to you to place and start the "toobz."  In "Classic Toobz" mode, the upcoming piece is revealed at the top of the screen.  This does assist in your planning of placement of the pipes although you must think and move quickly.  The idea reminds me a little of tetris.  You continue to build your toobz as the timer counts down.  Once you are out of time, the water is turned on and flows through the toobz.  The idea is to keep any water from spilling.  If your pipes lead off the edge of the screen, you are good.  If the watere spills on the board, the game is over.  You have to reach a certain amount of points in order to advance to the next level.  The same goals are used in "Show Toobz" mode, but this time four of the next pipe pieces are revealed.  Even though this sounds like cheating, it presents a unique twist on the gameplay as oopposed toth the classic mode.

I found this game to be pretty challenging.  If you do not like the pieces you have in place, you are able to use the current pipe to replace that pipe.  This did help me get out of some bad setups and be able to have a chance to succeed.

One thing I did not like about this game is the fact that you are completely at the mercy of the available pipes.  My guess is that they are completely random, meaning, they are not sent out with a possible correct use.

On more than one occasion, the first four or five pieces were not useable to even hook into the water source and get started.  I would also like to see the ability to move a piece that is not connected once it is placed on the board.  This would keep you from randomly dropping pieces as well as use them once the opportunity arises.  If you are a fan of puzzle games give this one a try.  (It is free is it not?)  This one you will either love or hate.  You will know after the first level.

Quick take:
Value:  Medium
Would I buy again?  At free just to try.  The paid version does not interest me.
Learning Curve:  Medium to high.
Who is it for?  Puzzle people
What I like:  The challenge presented.
What I don’t:  Too much randomness of pieces and the inability to move unconnected pieces around.

Read the Developer's Notes:
Toobz is a challenging, fast-paced game that brings together quick reactions, planning, and a little bit of luck.Your goal is to create a system of "Toobz" (pipes) beginning at a randomly-placed starting point. Your Toobz network must allow water to flow without any spilling. As you advance through levels, you'll have less and less time to place the pieces before the water starts automatically. You can start the water at any time, allowing you to quickly advance to the next level and earn extra points.Toobz features three difficulty settings, saves your top ten high scores, and fully supports resuming games in progress if a phone call comes in or the Home button is pressed.See how high of a score you can get in three levels of play in this free version of Toobz.
