Tiny Thief is the second game from Rovio Stars (Rovio‘s new publishing unit), after Ice Breaker: A Viking Voyage. Just like one could make out from the preview video, we have a side-scrolling ‘point and click’ here. A new concept!

As the name suggests, you are a thief in the dwarf land. Each level begins with a cut scene on bandits plundering the poor. You have to steal back the valuables and return to the people. If you’re looking for a revenge, you can loot the soldiers too. Be the Robinhood and sweep out all the precious in each level.

The gameplay is all about stealth. Get spotted and the game is over.

Sneak up on soldiers, hide in barrels and dive into haystacks. Just like Beat Sneak Bandit, all movements are rhythm based and you need to time your quick movements. Interact with objects around and use your brains to get things done.

Each level gives you a primary objective and upto four optional secondary objectives. Explore the area to steal them all. Also, you can find the hidden squirrel for a third star.

The graphics is toon-like and portrays medieval ages. The sound effects are awesome, too. The environment on the other hand, is responsive and helps you get the extras, just like we saw in Fetch.  The controls are above average, but can give you trouble at times. I would have preferred stick controls.

Tiny Thief, to conclude, is a complete entertainer with great visuals, nerdy puzzles with hilarious solutions and a perfect price tag. Get it.
