Did I See U - Free Dating App
Have your App Reviewed by a Professional Writer
My biggest complaint about the iPhone 3G is its battery life. Sure, the lack of being able to run 3rd part apps in the background stinks and the crippled Bluetooth unneccesarily limits the device, but the battery life is a CONSTANT struggle since I use my iPhone so much during the day. Thankfully there are a host of options available for juicing up the device on the go. This week I’ve been using one of the newest- the Mili Power Pack from PhoneSuit – and I’m more than a bit impressed.
The company claims…
The MiLi will give you the freedom to use your iPhone without the daily worries of running out of battery life! Enjoy your iPhone for voice, music, video, games and business applications with extended, stable power. You can now experience a full day, two days or more of uninterrupted iPhone power, depending on your usage. We know you only want products that compliment your iPhone’s appearance. So we developed a design that would appeal to all senses. The MiLi is made of the best quality materials and integrates the best in technology.
Let’s see if it lives up to the hype…
There are a few things that I really like about this companies products; the design elements, ease of use, and product styling.
But what really sets them apart from other similar solutions, is the really high quality of materials used, and the manufacturing process which seem to produce a solid, relible, and stable product.
In addition to the Kingpin, Rivet has a large variety of iPhone mounting solutions. A few weeks ago…
I’m proud to announce that version 1.4 of ABContacts has been released and should be available in a few hours on the App Store.
The app has some great new features, one long awaited by many users: smart groups !
The app is still at 3.99$ but will be 4.99$ tomorrow when all worldwide app stores will be updated.
Two youtube demos are available :
Part 1 (overview and contacts)
Part 2 (smart groups, recent calls, favorites)
The list of changes is detailed below.
Website and app screenshots on iTunes are being updated.
Your comments on the app will be appreciated
=======
The app now has five windows :
– Contacts
– Smart Groups
– Dialer
– Recent Calls
– Favorites
Touch the title bar to show the windows menu.
With Smart Groups you can create dynamic groups based on rules. Contacts will be filed in smart groups automatically. There are five different types of rules and they work on first name, last name, company, notes, job title, department, city, state, country, birthday and events fields.
Rules can be combined to create very powerful filters !
Moreover, Outlook users will be able to create smart groups on the phone that finally does not alter how contacts are shown in Outlook.
The dialer is associated with a smart search feature. You can search contacts using the dialer keypad. Spaces and special chars are supported as well as non english letters. Phonetic info are used if present.
You can also speed dial the first nine favorites by pressing and holding the corresponding key down.
Recent calls will show the 30 most recent calls you’ve made with ABContacts. Numbers can be simply added to new contacts or existing contacts.
Favorites has two view modes: list and photos. You can add, use and manage favorites with the list mode and use them in the photo view.
You can use contact quick actions in every view.
The new version also contains:
– better speed;
– minor graphics adjustments;
– minor text fixes;
– minor bug fixes;

The full press release after the break…
Over the past year, we have seen a series of well-known cell phone makers taking a stab at releasing what the tech world refers to as “iPhone killers.” Apple has been forgiving, refraining from commenting on the many failed iPhone killers that companies have tried to release in 2008. Of course, with the massive iPhone sales, and the immense popularity the handset enjoys, it is not necessary for them to even mention its success and its rivals’ (if they can even be called that) repeated downfalls. It is undoubtedly understood. One would think that after so many failed attempts, cell phone companies would just hang their heads low as they go back to their high-tech, yet seemingly inadequate labs and give in to the iPhone’s widely recognized awesomeness. Yet now, barely into 2009, we see another iPhone killer on the horizon, which, though it still awaits public and intensive scrutiny, looks quite nice.
Yesterday, Mobile Orchard’s own Dan Grigsby posted about how he performed Apple-approved iPhone interprocess communication using URL handlers in his Alocola iPhone app. Shortly thereafter, Ryan Johnson of InnerFence commented that they’ve been doing the same for a while with their own apps. InnerFence are perhaps best known for their powerful Credit Card Terminal app […]
